About | Contribute
Imprint is an online and print magazine that explores the intersection of faith and culture.
Our goal is to create thoughtful and engaging content for an audience both in and outside of the church. We’re passionate about our city and community, but we also publish content that’s applicable to readers who aren’t local to Toronto.
Imprint features the work of Christian artists from gospel-centered churches in Toronto, ON as well as guest contributors from farther afield, including reported pieces, personal essays, short works of fiction, poetry, photo essays, art and illustrations.
Imprint began as a grassroots initiative by Christian artists in Toronto, and today is supported by partnerships with Grace Toronto Church, The Vine Presbyterian Church (formerly Grace West Mission Church), and Christ Church Toronto.
To receive our annual Call for Pitches and hear about events like our Writers’ Workshop (Winter) and Launch Coffeehouse (Fall), please sign up for our email list.

Interested in contributing to Imprint?
We would love to hear from you! Due to our limited editorial capacity, we prioritize pitches/submissions from creators within our supporting community. No previous experience is required—only the desire to create and a willingness to collaborate.
Starting in 2025, we are pleased to be offering a small honorarium to contributors whose work appears in our print issue, along with a complementary copy of the magazine.
What kinds of content will you be publishing in future editions of Imprint?
We accept creative non-fiction, reported pieces, poetry, short fiction, reviews, original photography and other forms of visual art.
Imprint publishes work that is consonant with historic Reformed Christian faith, and we anchor ourselves in the foundational vision and values of our partner churches in Toronto.
We rarely accept devotional writing.
How do I pitch an idea to the editors of Imprint?
We advertise a call for pitches annually each winter (usually February) via our mailing list and social media. Pitches for Imprint usually tell us a little about you and your relevant writing experience, let us know what you’re planning to write (fiction/non-fiction, poetry, etc.), and show us how you’re going to approach your topic and why it matters.
You can expect our team of editors to work alongside you, helping you to shape your pitch, develop it, and avoid pitfalls. It’s our goal to help you grow and develop as a writer and artist.
With your final submission, you can choose to include a graphic as well as a link to your website or portfolio.
We prioritize original submissions, but will consider previously-published pieces or photography (with permission) that is an excellent fit with the current annual theme.
You’re welcome to address any questions to imprintmagazine.to@gmail.com. Thanks for your interest in Imprint.
